Uruguay Steaks raises cattle according to the long-held traditions of the gauchos, who raised cattle on an open range, with plenty of fresh air, pure water, and healthy grass. We could offer up a lengthy list of standards and seals of approval, but instead we'll put our promise to you in simple terms:

• Our cattle feed on only the healthiest grass throughout their lives - they are never given feed or grain. Animal protein in feed has been banned since 1996.
  
• Our land is pesticide and chemical-free
  
• We do not use hormones or preventative antibiotics in our cattle. Hormones have been banned in Uruguay since 1984.
  
• Our cattle live their lives in open air, roaming freely as nature intended.
  
• All animals and products are source-verified.
